
Spain reported 2.773.264 visits from Ireland in 2024, up 12pc on 2023 and 27.4pc on pre-pandemic.
Overall Spain received 93.8mn tourists, up 10.1pc on 2023 and 9pc on pre-pandemic,
and marking a new historical record for the country’s tourism sector.
The Canary Islands emerged as the top destination for tourists in December 2024, with 1,448,229 visitors. Cataluña and Andalucía also saw increases of 5.2pc and 8.9pc respectively in the same month.
Holidaymakers in Spain spent an average of four to seven nights, with market accommodation options increasing by 2.4pc, while rental housing rose by 22.3pc.
