
Marella Cruises has partnered with Speedcast to implement Eutelsat Group’s OneWeb Low Earth Orbit (LEO) technology across its fleet, enhancing onboard connectivity and internet services.
The collaboration aims to provide faster, low-latency internet through a hybrid network that combines OneWeb with Starlink, significantly improving digital experiences for both passengers and crew.
Chris Hackney, managing director at Marella Cruises, highlighted that this upgrade represents a major step toward enhancing customer experience and modernizing the ships’ internet capabilities.
