Spirit Airlines has cancelled plans to furlough 365 pilots for January 2026..
The airline had planned downgrades of 25 pilots to first captains. Initial plans included 170 demotions. The airline employed around 2,400 pilots.
Association of Air Line Pilots shared in a written statement “The business case supporting large-scale furloughs simply did not align with current data.”
