An Coimisiún Pleanála has approved development at St Patrick’s Church in Enniskerry, overturning Wicklow County Council’s refusal.
The project includes a 155-square-metre single-storey worship hall with a multi-functional space to include tourism, meeting room, kitchen, toilets, and storage. Powerscourt Parish submitted the application to enhance facilities adjacent to the protected church on Cookstown Road.
The development aims to serve the community’s needs while preserving the church’s heritage status. Construction is expected to proceed following the planning approval on 21 September 2025.
