SunExpress will become Cork Airport’s ninth carrier with a summer 2025 service to Izmir.

SunExpress has also launched a new range of fare options for Summer 2025, designed to increase flexibility and choice for passengers, including various baggage allowances and seat reservation options.

The new fare bundles consist of four options: SunLight , targeting budget travelers with minimal baggage; SunValue , offering good value with checked and cabin baggage; SunEco+ , accommodating those seeking comfort and flexibility; and SunComfort , providing premium comfort with more baggage and enhanced rebooking options.

The new fares are available for bookings for travel from March 30, 2025, reflecting the airline’s commitment to catering to diverse passenger needs and offering potential savings.

SunExpress operates over 200 routes to 68 destinations, with a strong presence in the Turkish Riviera and Anatolia, promoting various types of travel, including cultural and sports tourism to Türkiye.

Niall MacCarthy Managing Director at Cork Airport shared: “This will be our ninth scheduled carrier to operate out of Cork Airport. It is really fantastic to see a new route, to a new country, operated by a new airline added to our schedule next year. Cork Airport is the fastest growing airport in Ireland with growth of over 10pc this year and increasing numbers of people across the South of Ireland are choosing Cork over competing airports for the quality, friendliness, and speed of using our airport.”

Tobias Brachtadded, Head of Sales at SunExpress shared: “We are excited to be introducing more choice for consumers and travel agents from the South of Ireland with the launch of the first service from Cork to Türkiye. With our excellent value fares, choice of travel options, and welcoming service, we are confident that SunExpress will quickly prove popular with passengers flying from Cork.”
