Systems Interface Ltd has been awarded a contract to upgrade the Instrument Approach infrastructure at Donegal Airport.
The project includes supplying and installing new Localiser and Distance Measuring Equipment systems.
The upgrade aims to improve precision landings in adverse weather while complying with EASA regulations. The system is expected to become fully operational later this year, capitalizing on existing infrastructure.
David Chandler highlighted the efficiency of reusing current systems for a cost-effective upgrade.
David Chandler shared “this positioned us perfectly to implement a cost-effective upgrade by reusing existing infrastructure. The instrument approach provides guidance via two key components.”
