Taiwan’s China Airlines has signed a firm order for ten Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, finalising a previous commitment made in December 2024.

The new A350-1000s will operate on long-haul routes to North America and Europe, providing operational consistency with the existing A350-900 fleet.

Kao Shing-Hwang, Chairman of China Airlines, stated that the investment will support the airline’s growth strategy and enhance passenger travel experiences through improved range and fuel efficiency.

The A350-1000 is noted for its advanced technology, capable of flying up to 9,700 nautical miles and using 25pc less fuel compared to older models, also operating with up to 50pc Sustainable Aviation Fuel.
