Tanzania plans to suspend its visa-on-arrival system starting January 30, 2025, requiring travellers to obtain e-Visas instead.
Recent confusion arose from a circular suggesting the visa-on-arrival service would end after November 30, 2024, but authorities clarified that this option is still available until January 30, 2025, after which Tanzania will no longer issue visas on arrival.
Travellers are advised to apply for an e-Visa through the Tanzanian government portal prior to their trip.
