A flight from Stansted to Newquay in Cornwall was diverted to Malaga.
A flight from Shannon to Edinburgh ended up in Cologne. One from Manchester to Dublin diverted to Paris. Another from Lanzarote to Dublin returned to Bordeaux. A Lufthansa fight grazed the airport, turned around and returned to Frankfurt A Jet2 ski charter from Plovdid to Belfast declared a fuel emergency and diverted to Manchester.
During Sunday January 21 2024 at Dublin airport:
- 166 flights cancelled overall were cancelled
- 72 departures
- 94 arrivals
- 34 go arounds
- 36 diversions (including one to Paris and another to Bordeaux)
