Ticketing has opened for The Waterford Festival of Food (formerly known as the West Waterford Festival of Food) scheduled for Friday, 24 April to Sunday, 26 April 2026.  What began as a celebration of local produce in Dungarvan is now expanding into the city and has grown into a nationally recognised festivals.

The culinary team from Ashford Castle will collaborate with chef Eric Matthews at the House of Waterford, the home of Waterford Crystal, for a multi-course dinner staged within one of the county’s most striking settings. Chef Paul Flynn will welcome the team from Uno Mas, the acclaimed Spanish-style Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant in Dublin, to The Tannery’s final festival appearance ahead of its planned closure later this year.

Originally centered in Dungarvan, events also take place in Lismore and surrounding areas. It is one of Ireland’s longest-running community food festivals, featuring over 150 events including outdoor markets, pop-up dining, and foraging walks. Highlights include:

  • Artisan Food Market: Ireland’s largest outdoor food market takes over Dungarvan’s Town Square on the final day.
  • Taste Tours: Guided heritage tours and mountain “splendour” tours.
  • Entertainment: Includes live music, workshops, and family-friendly activities like the “Mad Hatter’s Tea Party”.
  • Tickets: Many events require booking via the Waterford Festival of Food website.

Later in the year, the Waterford Harvest Festival will take place from Friday, 4 September to Sunday, 6 September 2026.
