Five group travel specialists from the US and Canada are visiting Ireland, supported by Tourism Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, and TourismNI, to explore the country’s tourism offerings for 2025.
The purpose of the visit is to familiarise the tour operators with Ireland’s cultural and historical experiences, ensuring the destination remains a top consideration for their clients’ travel plans.
Their itinerary includes visits to notable sites such as Titanic Belfast, Crumlin Road Gaol, Derry’s walled city, and various cultural attractions in Fermanagh, Cavan, and Dublin.
Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America, said: “We’re delighted these influential tour operators have taken the time to come and experience Ireland’s superb tourism offering – including our cultural and historical experiences – and see for themselves what Ireland has to offer their clients. Our aim is that when they return home, they will be more knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the destination, helping to secure a greater share of their business for Ireland in 2025 and beyond.”
