
Catherine Martin, Minister for Tourism, launched an online public survey to gather feedback for finalising a new Tourism Policy Framework up to 2030, with the consultation open until April 26, 2024
The new framework aims to ensure sustainable growth in the Irish tourism sector, aligning with national climate targets and promoting sustainable tourism practices
Minister Martin emphasized the importance of developing the sector in a sustainable manner, supporting communities while reducing carbon emissions and protecting natural resources
The public consultation is based on principles from the Sustainable Tourism Working Group report and seeks input on topics such as promoting visits to less known destinations, reducing carbon footprint, and protecting Ireland’s natural and heritage assets.
