TRA2024 to bring 3,500 delegates from 50 countries to Dublin on April 15-18

A record 3,500 delegates from 50 countries are scheduled to visit the Transport Research Arena 2024 (TRA2024) at the RDS from April 15-18.

Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan, serving as President of TRA2024, said the event emphasises the importance of evolving transportation methods, bringing global leaders together to inspire a sustainable and inclusive transport future, positioning Dublin as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in the sector.

TRA2024 features a diverse program with contributions from industry experts, policymakers, and academics from Ireland, the UK, EU, and the US, showcasing cutting-edge technology and ideas shaping the future of transportation for people and goods.

Peter Walsh, CEO of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), said the significance of hosting TRA outside mainland Europe for the first time, positioned Ireland as a unique and exciting venue for discussing the future of various transport modes, focusing on sustainable and inclusive mobility under the official theme “Transport Transitions: Advancing Sustainable and Inclusive Mobility,” supported by the European Commission and the Irish Government.

The event has been described as a milestone in Ireland’s transportation journey towards sustainable mobility, attracting over and will generate an estimated €7m for the Irish economy.
