Beyond the Trees Avondale is hosting the ‘Treetop Night Lights’ experience from November 11 to January 21. Visitors can explore the forest canopy under twinkling lights on a beautifully lit treetop walkway, tunnel, and viewing tower. They can also encounter various illuminated forest creatures that call Avondale Forest Park their home. This experience is suitable for all ages and abilities, offering a chance to connect with nature at night.
Liam Oragh will be hosting a three-hour winter solstice workshop on December 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Meeting House in Avondale. This workshop aims to create a vibrant soundscape where participants can relax, rejoice, and heal. It will be followed by a forest bathing walk, led by guide Cathelijne de Wit.
During the winter solstice workshop, participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a range of sensory experiences, focusing on what they can see, hear, smell, touch, and taste. The aim is to slow down, get out of their heads, and reconnect with their bodies. Cathelijne de Wit will also lead a short and slow walk to help participants deepen their connection with nature and themselves.
Tickets for both the ‘Treetop Night Lights’ experience and the winter solstice workshop are available for purchase on the Beyond the Trees website. These events offer unique opportunities to appreciate the natural beauty of Avondale and engage in immersive experiences in the forest.
