Turkish Airlines has confirmed scheduled flights from Istanbul Airport to Yerevan starting 11 March 2026.
Initial operations will run daily using narrowbody aircraft, mainly Boeing 737-800. The route represents a step towards normalisation of relations between Türkiye and Armenia. Land border remains closed since 1993. Pegasus Airlines currently operates daily services to Yerevan from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen.
Turkish Airlines shared in a written statement: “The launch of Turkish Airlines’ flights has been lauded as an important step towards the normalisation of relations.”
