Turkish Airlines has revealed plans to launch flights from Istanbul to Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport. The carrier currently serves 14 US airports with an average of 21 daily departures in Q3 2026, an 8 pc decrease from the previous year. Booking data indicates strong connecting traffic potential particularly to Africa via the Istanbul hub.
The airline has also shown interest in Philadelphia International Airport with a potential three-weekly service. Passenger market analysis for Philadelphia shows opportunities on routes to Athens, Mumbai and other destinations. Orlando International Airport remains a confirmed future destination already listed in investor documents.
These expansions form part of Turkish Airlines strategy to grow its US network as the second most-served international country after Germany.
