
Finnair has appointed Turkka Kuusisto as the new CEO, starting on July 11 2024.
Mr Kuusisto is the 12th CEO of the airline in its 100 year history and previously served as the CEO of Posti Group Corporation.
A written statement form the airlines says he brings experience in complex industries and strategy.
The current CEO, Topi Manner, will be stepping down on 15 January 2024 and will later become the CEO of Elisa Corporation. Under the leadership of CEO Topi Manner, Finnair regained profitability after facing challenging times. Jaakko Schildt will serve as interim CEO until the new CEO takes over.
