Protests have been held outside Twin Towns Hotel in Ballina over plans to house asylum seekers in the hotel.
Management of the hotel has confirmed that the hotel will continue to operate normally and that individual bookings and memberships are secure.
The hotel has offered 33 of its bedrooms to accommodate 120 people in family units seeking international protection.
The remaining 35 bedrooms will be open for booking by the public/tourists, with plans for an extensive refurbishment and upgrading of facilities underway.
