United Airlines has introduced a new digital tool to help customers using wheelchairs book flights that can accommodate their personal mobility devices.
Collaboration with United Spinal Association and Numotion has led to the development of these initiatives, aiming to enhance the air travel experience for wheelchair users.
The tool allows customers to input wheelchair dimensions, and search results will display flights that can accommodate their specific device sizes.
United Airlines also implements a pilot program at Houston Intercontinental Airport to assist customers whose wheelchairs may be damaged or delayed during travel, showcasing the airline’s commitment to accessibility and improving the overall experience for passengers with disabilities.
