United Airlines introduces Meridian-designed noise-cancelling headphones in business

United Airlines has introduced Meridian-designed noise-cancelling headphones for Polaris and Premium Plus cabins, starting September 1, 2025, with full rollout by mid-October.

The headphones, priced at approximately €230, offer advanced noise cancellation and clear sound to enhance in-flight entertainment on long-haul and transcontinental flights.

Meridian’s design addresses air travel’s acoustic challenges, providing controlled bass and vocal clarity to reduce fatigue during extended flights.

The headphones are part of United’s next-generation Polaris product, which includes Starlink Wi-Fi, upgraded amenity kits, and velvet throw pillows, debuting in early 2026.

United’s move aligns with competitors like American Airlines, which uses Bang & Olufsen headphones, as airlines prioritise premium audio experiences.
