
United Airlines announced its investment in JetZero, paving the way for a contract that could lead to the purchase of up to 200 aircraft.
The JetZero Z4 design promises a 50pc increase in fuel efficiency compared to similar aircraft, which addresses operational costs and carbon emissions.
A $235m contract has been awarded to JetZero by the U.S. Air Force to expedite their aircraft’s development with a first flight expected in 2027.
JetZero’s design is expected to lower fuel consumption significantly on popular routes such as New York/Newark to Palma de Mallorca.
The aircraft’s features aim to enhance passenger experience, including wider aisles, larger seats, and a streamlined boarding process.
