Qanot Sharq, Uzbekistan’s second-largest airline, has signed a dry-lease contract for five extended-range A321-200neo aircraft, which include two A321-200NX(LR) and three A321-200NY(XLR), from Air Lease Corporation.
The delivery of the aircraft is scheduled for 2026 and 2027 and will come from Air Lease Corporation’s existing orderbook with Airbus, which currently has unfilled orders for twenty-two A321-200NX(LR) and thirty A321-200NY(XLR).
Presently, Qanot Sharq operates a fleet of two A320-200s, two A321-200NX, and two A330-200s, all of which are dry-leased from Air Lease Corporation. Additionally, the airline has a wet lease agreement for another A330-200 with Southwind Airlines.
The airline has not disclosed specific operational plans for the newly contracted extended-range A321neo aircraft.
