Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady is crossing the Atlantic Ocean having completed a series of inaugural festivities in the England ahead of its official debut.
After a drydock at the Fincantieri shipyard, the ship will begin its maiden season for Virgin Voyages in New York City in early September. The ship is hosting inaugural events in Portsmouth, including a public launch party with live music and entertainment.
The Brilliant Lady will depart Portsmouth for a trans-Atlantic crossing to the United States on August 21, 2025, making stops in Ireland, Portugal, and Canada. Following its New York debut, the ship will reposition to Miami for Caribbean cruises and later to the West Coast for its first season in Alaska.
Virgin Voyages shared “Guests were able to book invitations for the event, which offers a live music performance, as well as a pre-booked dinner. The Brilliant Lady has left from Portsmouth for a trans-Atlantic crossing to the United States. Marking Virgin’s debut in the region, the ship will sail from New York City for itineraries to Bermuda, Canada and New England.”
