The annual Food and Cider Weekend in Armagh, held from September 5 to 8, attracted thousands of attendees and was celebrated as the largest and most successful event to date.

Visit Armagh aims to generate £35m in economic impact for its tourism sector by the end of 2024, signalling a strong focus on leveraging food and drink experiences as major attractions in the region.

Highlighting the significance of local produce, the event showcased the iconic Armagh Bramley Apple and included many sold-out events, reflecting the rising demand for authentic culinary experiences in Northern Ireland.

Lord Mayor Sarah Duffy said the festival not only promotes local food and drink but also supports regional businesses and tourism, with events like the five-course Bramley Banquet at Crannagael House featuring locally sourced ingredients and curated wine pairings.
