VisitScotland and AccessAble have partnered to create 100 accessibility guides for accommodation providers and attractions across Scotland.
Detailed access guides will be available on the AccessAble website and mobile app, as well as on visitscotland.com. The project was funded by VisitScotland, with additional support from local councils. Inclusive tourism is an important market, as it caters to a wide range of people, including those with disabilities, senior travelers, and families with young children.
AccessAble is an organisation that provides accessibility information for venues across the Britain and Ireland. Alongside the creation of the guides, VisitScotland has also launched an inclusive tourism toolkit on its website to provide advice and information for businesses.
