Visit Sligo has been shortlisted for the 22nd annual Irish Digital Media Awards, set to be held on 10 October 2025, at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin.

The nomination is for the ‘Best use of AI’ category, recognising the innovative Ideas Engine developed by Sligo County Council. The Ideas Engine provides customised itineraries for visitors using local data and AI technology, promoting a balanced representation of attractions across Sligo.

Dónal Gilroy, Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, expressed honour at the nomination, highlighting the county’s beauty and commitment to digital experiences. The Digital Media Awards cover various categories, showcasing excellence in areas such as SEO, social media, and content strategy across Irish organisations.

Cllr Dónal Gilroy shared, “We are truly honoured to be included among the outstanding organisations recognised by the 2025 Digital Media Awards. Sligo is the activity and adventure capital of the north west of Ireland and we look forward to welcoming more visitors.”
