Visitors from the USA and eighty other countries can apply for England’s new Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) from November 23 in advance of its introduction as a retirement from January 8.
The ETA, costing £10, offers unlimited entry into England, Scotland and Wales for up to six months, linked to the traveller’s passport.
Irish and British passport holders are exempt Visitors from 80 countries including USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand will require a visa for entry from January 8, 2025.
European visitors who do not hold an Irish passport will require the ETA from April 25, 2025.
