The 2km Dublin Port Tolka Estuary Greenway has opened, providing cyclists and walkers unique views of Dublin Bay, enhancing the city’s recreational offerings.
Developed by Dublin Port Company, the Greenway is part of Fáilte Ireland’s Dublin Coastal Trail and features preservation of existing trees along with the planting of over 5,000 new trees and native wildflowers.
The route connects EastPoint Business Park to ferry terminals, promoting sustainable transport and preserving the port’s maritime heritage through the use of historic granite seating.
Future developments will expand the Greenway and connect it to other cycling routes, including the Liffey-Tolka Project and the Royal Canal Greenway, enhancing cycling infrastructure in Dublin.
