Christmas cheer will be at its loudest and most excited over the next two Saturdays and Sundays as over 3,000 children will be on board FREE Ryanair flights in a
magical gift from the airline and airport.
The initiative, which is to mark the airline’s eight new routes - Berlin, Paris, Fuerteventura, Warsaw, Faro, Munich, Nice and Krakow – to their existing ten at Shannon from March next and the end of a successful first year for Shannon as an independent entity, has proven hugely popular with the seats oversubscribed three-times over within hours of the offer being publicised on Tuesday.
The children will get to meet Santa 15,000 ft above sea level on board the 30-40 minute ‘fly-overs’ as well as enjoy the pre-flight party atmosphere at the airport, which will include the presence of elves and other Christmas and cartoon characters to meet, greet and entertain the excited young guests, as well as musical entertainment from a range of artists, including the critically acclaimed Hermitage Green over the four days.
Pictured onboard at Shannon Airport with Santa Claus are his Elves Jeanette McKee and Fran Minter.Pic Arthur Ellis.
