Ciara Foley of Platinum Travel

Platinum Travel, owned by Ciara Foley, has ceased trading as of December 19, 2024, and customers are being informed through notices from the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA).

Customers with existing bookings should verify the status of their airline tickets and accommodations, and there are specific steps to take depending on whether tickets or accommodations have been paid.

Those affected may be eligible for refunds from the IAA if they have Refund Credit Notes or if they booked travel packages departing from Ireland; claims must be submitted within 120 days of the business collapse.

The IAA is available to assist affected customers, including those currently abroad, and advises individuals to explore chargeback options with their financial institutions if not covered by the consumer protection schemes.
