Iarnród Éireann will revert to the pre-August 26 timetable for routes to and from Connolly Station starting October 14, following customer complaints about congestion and delays.

The initial timetable changes in August included increased intercity services but led to disruptions, particularly for morning commuters. Minor adjustments were made on September 16 but did not fully resolve the issues.

The updated schedule will see trains that previously terminated at Pearse Station, Grand Canal Dock, and Bray returning to their original routes.

Iarnród Éireann expressed regret over the impact of the changes on commuters’ daily lives, emphasizing the importance of punctuality and reliability in their services.

Spokesperson Barry Kenny shared “we got it wrong and we are genuinely very, very sorry to our customers. It’s been very disruptive in recent weeks for customers. People build their work, their education and their childcare around their travel with us and we have let them down. We’re sorry for that.”
