World Voyager joins Atlas Ocean Voyages fleet

Atlas Ocean Voyages has officially welcomed the World Voyager to its fleet. The yacht’s naming ceremony took place in Ushuaia, Argentina, and it was named by physiotherapist and an English army officer Harpreet “Preet” Kaur Chandi. Shareholders, travel advisors, inaugural voyage guests, media, and local officials attended the event.

The World Voyager will now embark on its inaugural deployment for the 2023-24 Antarctica season. It joins sister ships, the World Traveller and World Navigator, in offering nine- to 14-night roundtrips to Antarctica from Ushuaia, Argentina.

During the naming ceremony, Atlas Ocean Voyages President and CEO, James A. Rodriguez, introduced the ship’s officers and crew, including Captain Terje Ulset. The event concluded with Chandi breaking a bottle of Champagne and toasting with Rodriguez. Rodriguez expressed his gratitude to Chandi and the entire Atlas team, emphasizing their commitment to providing year-round expedition yachting experiences.

The addition of the World Voyager expands Atlas Ocean Voyages’ fleet, allowing them to offer polar, epicurean, and cultural expeditions worldwide.
