Czech Airlines (ČSA), which was the flag carrier of the Czech Republic and the fifth oldest airline in the world, ceased operations on October 26, 2024, after a long history dating back to its formation.
The airline was known for being the first in the world to operate regular jet-only routes and was a member of the SkyTeam alliance, with a hub at Václav Havel Airport Prague.

Following a significant acquisition by Smartwings in 2018 and a bankruptcy filing in March 2021, ČSA underwent restructuring and was rebranded under a new parent company, Prague City Air s.r.o.
The last flight of Czech Airlines took place from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Václav Havel Airport, transferring its operations to Smartwings while retaining the ČSA brand under the Smartwings operating certificate.
ČSA was the fifth oldest airline in the world, after Dutch KLM (1919), Colombian Avianca (1919), Australian Qantas (1920), and Soviet/Russian Aeroflot (1923).
It operated from Prague to Dublin from 2004, increasing to double daily in 2007 and had an office managed by the late Stephan Davitt, who later joined Em rates and died tragically in January 2015.
