Rossmore Forest Park in Co Monaghan is set to enhance its offering with a new adventure activity course.
Local authority officials granted planning approval for this development, which will include ziplines and net courses.
The park is Ireland’s most visited forest park, attracting 357,834 visitors in 2024, followed by Ticknock, Co Dublin (244,011) and Donadea, Co Kildare (203,543).
Zipit Forest Adventures, which already operates in Tibradden Wood (Dublin), Lough Key (Co. Roscommon), and Farran Park (Co. Cork), proposed the designs for this expansion.
Monaghan County Council has approved Zipit’s proposal, contingent on seven specified conditions.
