Zachary Greear, a 34-year-old climate research analyst, has been spared jail time after his disruptive behaviour on a United Airlines flight from Amsterdam caused it to divert to Dublin.
Greear was responsible for urinating in the aisle and inappropriately touching passengers, prompting the flight to dump €30,000 in fuel before landing in Dublin.
In court, he was ordered to pay €10,000 in compensation and donations. he blamed a reaction between xanax and alcohol
