Dun Laoghaire launches spring into summer heritage programme for 2024

Dun Laoghaire Rathdown mayor Denis O’Callaghan has launched the spring into summer heritage programme for 2024, which will run from March 25th to April 28th and includes guided tours, talks, and online 3D tours.

The festival will feature free guided tours of local landmarks such as Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre, Cabinteely House & Marlay House, Seapoint Martello Tower, The Oratory, and Fernhill Park & Gardens.

Self-guided tours of attractions like the National Maritime Museum and James Joyce Tower will also be available during the festival.

Additionally, there will be three talks at Marlay House, covering topics such as the Leadmines, the burning of Big Houses during the War of Independence and Civil War, and overlooked features of Marlay Park. Online 3D tours of the Oratory, Cabinteely House, and Marlay House will also be offered on the festival’s website. Pre-booking is required for many events.
