
Twelve MICE buyers from England were among the audience when Kildare tourism seated 130 guests for a tasting menu supplied buy local restaurants to kick start the Taste of Kildare festival at Naas Racecourse.
The Taste of Kildare festival at Naas Racecourse from September 20th to 22nd features a celebration of local food, drink, entertainment, and family fun, highlighted by County Kildare’s culinary offerings.
Guests can enjoy a range of cuisines, including dishes from the Champagne and Oysom Oyster Bar, Harte’s, and Dubh Restaurant, along with food trucks serving street favourites like pulled chicken tacos and BBQ from Fallon’s of Kilcullen.
Sponsored by eir, the Talk Stage will offer insights from local producers and chefs, culminating in the prestigious ‘Best in Fest Award’ for the top dish at the festival.
The event includes the Calor Chefs’ Theatre with live cooking demonstrations, a Gather craft market featuring local artisans, and family-friendly entertainment, while supporting the Shine Mental Health Charity with volunteer activities throughout the weekend.
The MICE buyers The buyers, who stayed three nights at Springfield Hotel, Killashee, and Barberstown Castle, also explored Kildare’s top visitor attractions, including the Curragh Racecourse, the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens, The K Club, Carton House, a barge trip in Sallins and a visit to Lawlor’s Hotel.
