Anyone for chocolate? Marella cruise line to expand afternoon tea offerings

Marella Cruises will expand its afternoon tea offerings with The Chocolate Bar – Afternoon Tea and The Cheese Table – Afternoon Tea starting August 2025.

The two unique options will alternate every two weeks and feature in the all-inclusive offerings across the fleet of ships.

Guests can enjoy a chocolate-themed experience with a flowing chocolate fountain, chocolate scones, and a Build Your Own Chocolate Trifle station. The Cheese Table – Afternoon Tea provides a savoury experience with items such as a Raclette Bar and a cheese board with selection accompaniments.

While TUI is ending charter operations in Ireland next year, flights to connect with Marella cruises will be operated by Manchester based aircraft.  Recent enhancements include a fruit cutting station and a pop-up salad bar in the buffet areas of various Marella ships.

Luke Saunders shared “We are pleased to be expanding our afternoon tea selection onboard across our ships. After two successful trials across a couple of ships, feedback from customers shows us that they love the latest afternoon teas. The main buffet area on each ship has been enhanced with new buffet offerings, including a fruit cutting station and a pop-up salad bar.”
