The Click&Go Holidays Q3 2025 survey reveals 87pc of Irish holidaymakers prioritise holidays over other discretionary spend despite concerns about rising prices.
Of those yet to book, 52pc plan to book a 2025 holiday, with 37pc citing high holiday costs. Sun holidays are the most popular (49pc), followed by city breaks (21pc) and cruises (13pc).
Holiday prices in 2025 remained flat compared to the previous year. For 2026, 87pc plan to book holidays, with 42pc targeting January to March.
Paul Hackett shared: “Despite cost of living concerns, what we see in this quarter’s survey results is that a substantial number of the Irish public are still prioritising their holidays. The old reliables, sun holidays in Spain and Portugal, are as popular as ever but holiday makers are trying new sun destinations such as Malta, Turkey and Croatia. Prices are expected to remain similar into 2026. And as we saw these prices are unlikely to drop as you go further into the year. Our advice is to book early to ensure you have the choice of destination and accommodation.”
