The Cruise Lines International Association London has revealed the theme for its 2026 conference, set to occur from 4 to 6 June in Southampton.
The theme, Cruise Ready, is designed to equip travel agents with essential knowledge, confidence, and industry connections. This initiative responds to record-high cruise passenger numbers and aims to help agents capitalise on the growing demand for sea holidays. An early bird registration rate of £155 per person for agent members ends on 30 January.
The conference is recognised as the largest annual travel agent event of its kind in Europe. It will feature ship visits, conference sessions, a trade fair, and a celebratory sailaway evening party. The programme includes business sessions at the O2 Guildhall, followed by an evening trade fair. Delegates can visit ships such as Cunard’s Queen Anne or P&O Cruises’ Britannia on the second day, with additional ship tours on the final day including Celebrity Apex and MSC Virtuosa.
An optional New to Selling Cruise Day is scheduled for 3 June, offering dedicated training and brand introductions for those looking to expand their cruise sales. Keynote speaker details will be announced later. The event emphasises practical tools and insights to convert customer interest into bookings.
This announcement highlights the association’s commitment to supporting the trade amid strong cruise demand. By fostering collaboration and providing hands-on experiences, the conference aims to strengthen cruise as a core business element for agents. It underscores the opportunities available in the thriving cruise sector.
Andy Harmer shared “The theme ‘Cruise Ready’ reflects both the strength of demand we’re seeing for cruise holidays and the wealth of opportunities on offer for the trade. With more customers than ever actively considering a cruise, our role is to ensure agents have the insight, confidence and practical tools to convert that interest into bookings.”
“We’ll offer the training, first-hand ship experience and industry collaboration the trade need to further make cruise a core part of their business. And we recommend agents book as soon as they can to claim our special ‘early bird’ rate.”
