El Al will retain their direct Dublin to Tel Aviv 3w service in the coming weeks, despite travel advisories preventing travel to the middle east.
The service is being used to reroute passengers from Britain as many airlines stop flying to Ben Gurion airport. It is due to end for the season in November.
Israeli people returning home and a group of Irish pilgrims who had to cut short their visit to the Holy Land are also amongst those being served by the airline on tomorrow’s rotation. They were in Bethlehem when hostilities broke out on Saturday.
They remain in good spirits, according to the Irish tour operator who organised the trip.
Ryanair services to Ben Gurion airport are continuing at about 50pc of their former level. Eleven airlines have suspended flights to Tel Aviv: Aegean, Air France, Austrian, Brussels, Easyjet, Egyptair, Etihad, Europa, Gulf, Transavia and United.
