Ireland on course to send record 3m tourists to Spain in 2024

Ireland is on course for sending three million tourists to Spain for the first time in 2024.

Irish visits to Spain for the first three months are up 22.8pc on a record breaking 2023. Should the trend continue Ireland will send 3.04m visits to Spain in 2024.

Figures for March are up 21.5pc to 169,109, on top of 146,667 in January and 132,954 in February. 

Overall tourism to Soain is up 17.7pc to 16,124,997 putting it back ahead of France as the most visited country in the world.

Ireland sent a total of 2,477,429 visits to Spain in 2023, up 22.8pc on 2022 and up 13.8pc on pre pandemic.
