Fáilte Ireland hosted a workshop at the Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane, Dublin, where 40 accommodation, attraction, and activity providers met one-on-one with 27 Irish tour operators and Destination Management Companies (DMCs) to discuss promoting Ireland for the 2025 travel season.
The collaboration aims to enhance business growth opportunities, with participating tour operators contributing over €800 million annually to Ireland’s economy and seeking to create new travel itineraries that highlight Dublin’s diverse attractions.
Research emphasizes that the luxury and leisure markets present significant opportunities for sustainable growth, with international visitors increasingly seeking authentic experiences and eco-friendly tourism options.
Paul Mockler from Fáilte Ireland highlighted the importance of delivering tailored, unique experiences that cater to the luxury market’s demand for sustainability and experiential travel, which could lead to long-term growth in Irish tourism.
Paul Mockler, Fáilte Ireland’s Head of Commercial Development, shared: “Fáilte Ireland is really excited about the potential business opportunities emerging from today’s workshop at the Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane, Dublin. Specifically, the luxury market, known for its higher spending, offers a chance for sustainable growth in Irish tourism over the long term. This segment demands tailored and customised experiences that align with their interests and motivations, focusing more on experiential elements rather than materialistic ones. To effectively target these market segments, Ireland must offer a diverse range of luxury accommodations and a robust portfolio of unique experiences and products that consistently meet the expectations of luxury travellers.
