The Department of Foreign Affairs has updated its travel advice in the light of the Italian earthquake. See here.

Latest Travel Alert: An earthquake struck Central Italy on 24 August 2016. Any citizens with concerns please contact the Embassy of Ireland in Rome, telephone number 0039 06 5852381 or the Consular Assistance Section in Dublin, telephone number 01 4082308. We advise all citizens to follow the advice of local authorities. The Italian Civil Protection System has set up a freephone contact number for information which is 800840840 if you are phoning from Italy and you will find an English version of their website at the following link: http://www.protezionecivile.gov.it/jcms/en/contact_center.wp
