Air France/Hop to install 13 extra seats on their Embraer 190s

Air France plans to install more seats on its fleet of around 20 Embraer 190 aircraft amdist a general refurb with new seating and refreshed interiors

The aircraft, previously under the HOP! brand, will now be configured with 110 seats in a 2-2 layout instead of the previous 97 in a 9-88 configuration.

The new seats, provided by French manufacturer Expliseat with design by Andrea Mocellin, will feature leather upholstery, ergonomic foam padding, three inches of recline, and various amenities such as tray tables and charging ports

The retrofit project will begin soon, with the first aircraft expected to enter service in the autumn.B usiness class customers will benefit from having an empty seat next to them by January 2025.

British Airways refitted its fleet of 20 Embraer 190 aircraft with new slimline seats, increasing capacity from 98 to 106 seats.
