Air India has opened its new flagship Maharaja Lounge at Delhi Airport. The facility welcomes guests from 16 February 2026 and enhances pre-flight experiences at a major hub.
It offers premium amenities for elevated comfort at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), New Delhi. Spanning 16,000 sq. ft. in the international pier, the lounge can accommodate nearly 300 guests and features dedicated sections for First Class and Business Class travellers.
The lounge, designed by Hirsch Bedner Associates, blends contemporary luxury with Indian heritage:
- The Aviator’s Bar: Features a ceiling designed to replicate the propeller of J.R.D. Tata’s 1932 Puss Moth aircraft.
- The Globetrotter’s Study: A quiet workspace incorporating authentic switch panels from legacy Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
- Crystal Bar: A premium area offering champagnes and signature cocktails.
- Relaxation Zones: Includes a Serenity Area with individual recliners and exclusive Sleep Suites for First Class guests.
- Tarmac View Seating: A dedicated dining and relaxation area offering panoramic views of the

- Elevated Dining: Features live cooking stations serving a mix of Indian and international delicacies.
- Tea Programme: An innovative service featuring freshly brewed tea served from an aesthetically designed trolley with assorted snacks.
- Beverage on Wheels: A mobile cocktail service inspired by traditional gueridon service, delivering bespoke drinks directly to guest seats.
- Souvenirs: Exclusive Maharaja-designed postcards are available for passengers as keepsakes.
The lounge is available to the First Class and Business Class passengers, Maharaja Club Platinum and Gold members, Eligible Star Alliance Gold members.
This flagship facility is the first of several new-generation lounges Air India plans to roll out across India and globally as part of its ongoing transformation.
