Air India has reduced flights operated by B777 and B787 aircraft by 15pc until July 15. Three long-haul routes—Delhi-Nairobi, Amritsar-London Gatwick, and Goa-Mopa to London Gatwick—are suspended.

Safety inspections were conducted following the June 12 disaster in Ahmedabad that resulted in fatalities.

The DGCA issued a show-cause notice regarding two flights from Bengaluru to London in May for exceeding crew working time limits.

Air India is facing internal proceedings for scheduling breaches which have raised concerns about compliance with Civil Aviation Requirements.

Any future violation of crew scheduling norms, licensing, or flight time limitations detected in any post-audit or inspection will attract strict enforcement action, including but not limited to penalties, licence suspension, or withdrawal of operator permissions as applicable.”
