Airbnb is implementing a global ban on all indoor security cameras in short-term rentals.

Previously, cameras were allowed in common areas but not in bathrooms or bedrooms, as long as they were visible and disclosed on the booking page.

Hidden camera incidents in short-term rentals prompted the new rule to provide clarity and address privacy concerns.

Hosts with indoor security cameras must remove them by April 30, while outdoor cameras like doorbell cameras are still permitted but must be disclosed to guests before booking.\
