Aircoach has announced an expansion of services and stops on the Greystones 702 route to Dublin Airport, doubling the number of buses and increasing stops in various locations.
The increased frequency of the route, running almost 24 hours a day, will result in longer journey times and an increase in ticket prices.
The cost will increase from €22 return from Greystones to the airport to €25.50. From Bray and Shankill the return price will increase from €20 to €21.60.
The new route will mean that Monday to Friday, pre-rush hour and late in the evening, journeys from the new first Greystones stop at Hawkins Wood will take 1hr 52 mins. Journeys from that stop to Terminal 1 leaving between 6:20am and 8pm midweek will take more than two hours, with morning and evening rush hour journeys taking up to 2hrs and 50mins.
This compares with current times of 1hr 20mins before 8am and 1hr 41 mins afterwards from the first stop in Greystones in Charlesland.
