
The naming ceremony for the 6,500-passenger Carnival Jubilee took place in Galveston, Texas with Texas-themed performances, making it the first ship named there, with notable attendees including Gwen Stefani, Christine Duffy, and the Mayor of Galveston, Craig Brown.
The ceremony featured the christening with Gwen Stefani and a live broadcast for passengers and fans worldwide, with additional highlights like auctioning custom-made Carnival Jubilee cowboy boots, won by Emerson Hankamer.
Carnival Jubilee boasts various Texas connections, such as being the Official Cruise Line of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, offering exclusive events like the Lone Star Tailgate Party, and incorporating Texas-themed music and trivia onboard, enhancing the ship’s Texas flair and unique offerings in the fleet.
Unique features include an underwater-themed zone spanning two decks, with immersive experiences like Seaquest: A Fun Sub Adventure.
Seaquest features six LED Portals to the Sea, a wave-like LED ceiling, lighting, music, sound effects, and takes guests on an underwater journey to encounter marine life and fantastical elements.
Zone-wide activations include Change the Currents, allowing guests to transform the zone into six different underwater worlds, Create A Fish for kids to design sea creatures, evening displays of beautiful destinations, and interactive features like Soundwaves Jukebox and Currents Atlas for real-time ship locations and sea creature facts.
